On Sept 17, 2011, members of the PFFV Executive Board and Burlington, Local 3044 had the honor of participating in the Annual Memorial Service at the IAFF Firefighters Memorial in Colorado Springs, CO. 

They were present to commemorate the unveiling of Lt. Steven Costello's name on the remembrance wall. Steve and 86 of his brother and sister firefighters, all who had died in the line of duty in 2010, were honored in a ceremony attended by several thousand famiy, friends and colleagues. Members of the Costello family and the PFFV were in attendance. 

For those who have not seen the memorial, it is situated in a beautiful outdoor venue in the shadow of Pike's Peak. It's highly polished, black granite wall panels, currently hold the names of 2200 fireifghters, who have made the ultimate sacrifice while protecting the public.
