Charity motorcycle ride being sponsored by the IAFF motorcycle group, the PFFNH and IAFF locals 1313 & 4039 for Sarah Fox (a Portsmouth Firefighter Local 1313 and mother of five who has been bravely fighting cancer since 2007).
Sarah was diagnosed with breast cancer on October 9, 2007. At the time she was also 36 ½ weeks pregnant with twins. Twelve hours after her diagnosis, the twins were born making a family of seven. While it wasn’t easy, Sarah fought through the many challenges and treatments that cancer brings and beat the odds, returning to work in January 2009. Her cancer went into remission, but months later she began experiencing pain in her hip. Fox went back to the doctor and discovered that the cancer was back, but this time it was in her bones and it has been diagnosed as terminal. Sarah, her husband Matt, their 5 children and extended family are faced with the fight against cancer once again.
