Texas Hold'em Tournament raises $3,000 for Fletcher Allen Burn Patient Fund

On Saturday January 9, 2010, the Professional Fire Fighters of Vermont hosted the first annual Texas Hold’em tournament to benefit the Fletcher Allen Burn Patient Fund. The event successfully raised $3,000 for the fund, with over 80 players in attendance at the Sheraton Burlington. Professional Fire Fighters from across the state, along with nurses and professionals from Fletcher Allen’s Trauma Service were at the event to participate and help run the tournament. The Professional Fire Fighters of Vermont are committed to supporting the needs of burn patients at Fletcher Allen and would like to thank all of the players that came out to support this cause and The Sheraton Burlington for hosting this tournament. Thank you to Tom DiPalma, Jack DiPalma, Jim Miles, Buddy Miles, Vic Miglorie, Art Howard and Nate Elwert for their work running this tournament.
